go to Ace Hardware or true value - I’ve been to Southern States twice now for propane, and both experiences were frustrating. Either you end up waiting far longer than it’s worth, or no one comes out to help at all. At this point, it’s just not worth the hassle. You’re honestly better off stopping at a gas station for a propane exchange—you’ll save yourself a lot of time and frustration. All the complaints I see on your reviews, you would think they would’ve tried to fix the issues by now, apparently not.

My wife called in for a propane fill up at 8am they showed up at 8:45 in 12 degree weather. 2 young men and were very polite. Can't go wrong with southern states. Thanks

husband in line for over an hour guy comes out and says guidelines state u have to have 100 lb propane tank in cage in back of pick up truck, no such guidelines exist. Numerous people there with 4 20 gallon tanks getting filled up. Just didn’t want to sell and during an oncoming storm. No one else has ever refused to fill tank.
